# DND compliance (Nigeria)

> Transactional OTP and alerts are routed so Nigeria's NCC DND registry is not treated as a promo filter.

Nigeria's NCC runs a Do Not Disturb registry. Promotional SMS to registered numbers is filtered. **Transactional** traffic — OTP, receipts, alerts the user triggered — is supposed to get through when the provider classifies it correctly.

Robase sends OTP and transactional SMS on transactional paths. You do not file a separate "DND route activation" ticket to go live. Sender-ID paperwork with upstreams is still operator-managed ([sender IDs](/sms/sender-ids)); it is not a public API.

## What you should still do

* Send OTP and user-triggered notices, not unsolicited marketing, through this API.
* Keep message copy transactional. Anti-spam may block promo-like bodies and refund the credit.
* Use E.164 Nigerian numbers (`+234…`).

## What we do not claim

We do not publish a delivery percentage to DND numbers. If every route fails, the credit is refunded and `otp.failed` / `sms.failed` fires.
